From Scotland's Speyside region, this is a single malt whisky with a subtle peat character, matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.

An outstanding Scotch, matured in Oloroso casks, giving it a color and finish akin to bourbon. As a bourbon enthusiast, I find this Scotch very appealing, with a moderate cinnamon finish.
The overly sweet fruit notes on the nose weren't my preference, but the taste is like a typical Speyside I enjoy, with a mild sherry finish. While not my top choice, it's a very drinkable Scotch.
Overpowering alcohol initially, but it carries the anticipated caramel from whisky and raisin notes from the sherry barrels. I wished for greater depth.
Nose: Robust malt and citrus notes. Palate: Malt and dried fruit flavors. Finish: Intriguing, with a long-lasting spice and nuttiness.

The sherry finish imparts a strong grape and wine character. It has a sweet finish with notes of fig and raisin, followed by a mild burn.
