About this bottle
Shady Knoll Orchards & Distillery, a family-run craft operation in New York's Hudson Valley, creates its apple brandy from 120 varieties of apples, including cider apples, all cultivated on their property. The cider undergoes a 6-to-9-month fermentation before being double-distilled in an alembic Charentais pot still. Subsequently, the brandy ages in new, toasted American oak, with a final maturation period in Madeira wine barrels.
