Seedlip Grove 42

I typically limit my weekly whiskey consumption to a single 2-ounce serving, usually accompanied by lapsang souchong or green tea each evening. However, recently, I hosted friends and family, many of whom do not consume alcohol. This led me to purchase these Seedlips with the hope of creating unique cocktails. They are quite costly, around $25 USD per bottle, making them even more expensive than gin unless you abstain from alcohol entirely. This particular one is named Grove, as it is crafted from citrus fruits, after which the alcohol is removed. I attempted to mix it with a lemongrass, honey, and ginger scrub I prepared, but honestly – it tasted like subtly flavored water. Even the non-drinkers in my group (including my wife, who has a medical allergy to alcohol and has never consumed it, except for one instance where she discovered her allergy) found it to be simply flavored water. Of the three varieties available, this was the least appealing – essentially the most expensive flavored water one could purchase.

Hmm, smells like a citrus surface/kitchen spray cleaner. The taste is like a watery fruit burst candy. Not good on its own, and tonic water overpowers it. Avoid.
