From an unknown Islay distillery. A quarter of the spirit has undergone finishing in first-fill Oloroso sherry octaves. Nose: Sweet sherry, peat, and smoke. A good amount of fruit on the nose (apple and apricot). Palate: The peat is evident, but there's actually a more pronounced fruit sweetness, featuring berries and apples. It has a substantial mouthfeel with an underlying meatiness. Finish: More sweet apples beneath a brief finish of oak and peat. Overall, considering its price point, this is a very commendable dram. I'd classify it as a session whisky. It's straightforward and easy to drink for a peated whisky. This disappeared very quickly! Excellent!

Rich, earthy nose with hints of age and smoke. The palate is fresh and herbaceous, recalling grassy Irish spirits. The seaweed noted in the name is evident. A powerful smoky presence is masterfully balanced with oak and floral elements. A touch more sugar would be ideal, but the existing tastes are exceptionally harmonious.
A less intense Laphroag with a clear sherry influence. I might consider purchasing it if I happen upon a bottle at a good price.
Unexpectedly fruity with smoky, salty notes. It’s intriguing, but I don’t see it joining my personal stock.
Absolutely amazing, I put some aside for the guys in the advent calendar, bought a bit for myself, everyone raved, I'm going to buy a bottle.
Isoamyl acetate, sultanas, and peat are present. It's not as briny as I had anticipated.
