Savannah Single Barrel Founder's Reserve 115-71

Aroma of brown sugar and faint vanilla wafer cookies. Taste of sweet stone fruit, perhaps dried apricots, and rye spice. Finish is long with barrel tannins and clove. A distinctive pour with some complexity on the palate that requires time to discern.

It's not bad. The nose is typical bourbon. The taste comes across a bit hot, but not unpleasantly so. It has a slight young graininess, but again, not unpleasant. The finish is nicely medium. It's not a bottle I would buy, but it's a nice experience to try at a bar.

I sampled a store selected bottle. One of the finest bourbons I have ever tasted. It's a bit young, but the flavor is outstanding.
