At a recent gathering hosted by a friend, this was the unexpected standout for me. While the other well-regarded spirits were expected to perform well, this one came out of nowhere. Switzerland excels in many areas (timepieces, confections, finance, and medicine), but spirits? This expression is aged for seven years exclusively in Merlot casks. I anticipated strong wine-like qualities, but instead, the dominant characteristic was milk chocolate. It's creamy and chocolatey, with fruit and nut flavors. Difficult to locate, but acquiring it would be a rewarding experience.
