Ed Geary 2.0

Aroma: Mild oak presence, with notes of brown sugar and cinnamon. Not unpleasant. Palate: Quite thin, as expected. Flavors of sweet corn, with the cinnamon from the nose becoming more prominent. Brown sugar is present but subdued. Finish: Brief. A little musty. All the palate flavors fade into a spicy burn. Overall: Superior to expectations for a budget-friendly whisky. It possesses more character than certain other options, for instance. It's definitely suited for mixing. It might hold up reasonably well served on the rocks, though I wouldn't let the ice melt significantly, as the bourbon would likely dissipate. Note: The $20 price point refers to a large format bottle of a specific brand. In this region, this whiskey is sold in bulk quantities.
