Sagamore Spirits 6yr Single Barrel Rye r/Bourbon Select

This distillery's rye (Sagamore Rye) is among my preferred rye whiskeys. The barrel-proof version is a personal favorite and one of the most underappreciated bottles available. This offering is good. It's essentially a less intense version of that product. Excellent flavor, true to the Sagamore profile. The body and finish are simply less pronounced. You should walk to get this one. Run to purchase the barrel-proof.

Nose: sweet brown sugar, vanilla, a hint of spice. Taste: sweet upfront, with oak, cinnamon, a maple syrup finish, and more tannins.
