The aroma begins sweet yet somewhat spicy. Hints of ginger mixed with oak are definitely present. There's also a touch of vanilla and brown sugar sweetness. The rye's spiciness is very subtle and gentle, giving the impression it's there but in quantities that complement the other notes rather than overwhelming with a burst of rye upfront. The palate is slightly dry yet rich and chewy. Ginger and rye spice immediately fill the mouth completely. They are excellent and complementary, two flavors that work wonderfully together. Notes of oak are present alongside sweeter notes of vanilla, brown sugar, and mead. The finish is long, slightly spicy, and chewy. It is absolutely beautiful to savor after each sip. What you perceive on the palate precisely matches what you taste, and the flavors linger and linger, leaving you wanting another sip.
