Nose: Sugary notes of caramel, vanilla, and cherry mingle with a whisper of oak. It's lively. A subtle woody scent, reminiscent of pencil shavings. Body: Medium. Palate: My initial taste is minty, followed by caramel and that same mint on the next sip. Enjoyed straight. Finish: A medium-short finish featuring caramel. Note: A selection from a friend, with assistance from another. This is a fairly typical bourbon. Decent, but not outstanding, suitable for regular sipping. I'm eager to try it alongside the single rickhouse offering for comparison. This surpasses the MWS RR selection I sampled during the whiskey tasting weekend.
