This stunning bottle of a special Royal Salute edition has an age statement: 32 years old! That's significant. The impressive bottle features a Crown attached to the cork. The reason? This expression of Chivas Regal celebrates the union of the Scottish, English, and Irish Crowns in 1603. This is a very rare and old bottle to find. Bottled at 40% ABV, with a tawny color. Like most fancy bottles, this is a very delicate, light, straightforward, easily drinkable whisky. On the nose: banana, burnt caramel, some herbal notes, and rubber. On the palate: aged oranges, brown sugar, banana, copper, subtle cherry notes, prunes. Aftertaste is delicate and spicy, with ginger, salt, and clove. A lovely, easy dram. I rate it an 87 out of 100.

Aroma of tropical fruit and brown sugar. The taste is very smooth, followed by oak, pepper, and dry fruit. The finish has pepper and oak.
