About this bottle

The 2023 Release of Rossville Union Bottled in Bond Straight Rye hails from Indiana, where Ross & Squibb Distillery produced it. A 51% rye and 49% barley malt mash bill forms the basis of this spirit. Distilled in March 2017, the rye spent at least 6 years maturing in new, charred oak casks. Master Distiller Ian Stirsman personally chose the barrels for this bottling. It has a 50% ABV and is presented in 700ml containers. Production was limited to 3,000 six-pack cases, with sales commencing in August 2023 at a suggested retail price of $49.99.

Notes of toffee and plum on the nose. The palate is smooth, almost slick, with hints of baker's chocolate and clove. Remarkably smooth for 100 proof, with mellowed spices typical of rye.
