About this bottle

Ron Cihuatán Solera 12 Reserva Especial is crafted at Licorera Cihuatán, which is part of Ingenio La Cabaña in El Salvador. Mitchel Tuttle 4.8

I think this rum is severely overlooked. I don't agree with opinions saying it's sweet or sugary. To me, it offers subtle notes of pepper or peppermint without any harshness when swallowing. The earthy and spicy assessments make sense. It's very smooth, with a flavor profile akin to whiskey. It also complements any beverage, adding a hint of spice but no burn. This is certainly a new favorite rum for me. I'm pleased I discovered it while it was on sale.
