The Column Still Collection, a joint venture between Rock Town and Bardstown Bourbon Co., was released in April 2023. This bourbon bottling is one of three in the collection, and all use corn and wheat grown in Arkansas. The bourbon was distilled in March 2020 at BBCo. in Bardstown, Kentucky, following Rock Town's established recipe. After distillation, the spirit was proofed down to 110 and placed into new charred oak barrels from Kelvin Cooperage and Gibbs Brothers Cooperage. These barrels were then transported to Rock Town Distillery's warehouse in Little Rock, Arkansas, for a minimum maturation period of 34 months. The ABV for this cask strength bottling varies, with individual single barrels expected to be around ~115 proof. It became available starting April 15, 2023, for online purchase in 42 states and at select retailers in AR, KY, TN, OK, MD, DE, DC, NJ, MA, IL, GA, with an SRP of $59.99.

Aroma of peanut brittle, frosting, and sawdust. Smooth texture, with caramel and spice accompanied by sweet stone fruit, and a nice lingering finish. That said, I likely spent too much on this. Had to look up the mash bill, age, and proof since it's not on the bottle, which is uncommon for a cask strength item.
Nose: Toffee or burnt caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, berries or apricot. Taste: Sweet and spicy, oaky and toasty, vanilla, toffee or burnt caramel, dried fruit or sweet berries or apricot.
It's young with a bit of spice. The flavor is bold yet smooth for a young whiskey at 118 proof. I'm glad I bought it, and it will serve well as a go-to for cocktails.
Earthy, charred oak nose. Earthy heat. Pillowy nougat. Dry oak and caramel finish. Medium warmth. Vanilla finally appears in a second finish.
A classic bourbon character, featuring pleasant notes of apricot and salted caramel, with a subtle dusty barrel influence.
