I've had these in the cooler for some time and decided it was time to consume them to make room for newer ones. This isn't my first pre-mixed Rivergreen, and I actually loved the gimlet version many months ago. However, I'm looking for some straightforward reviews to help me reach my goal of 400, so this is at least the third, with the Bee's Knees being the first. The pour started very bubbly but seemed to lose its fizz quickly, leaving only a minimal amount of carbonation. The aroma is predominantly tart lemon (the entire fruit, as I can detect juice, peel, and pith), with just enough honey for that flavor note to be present, though not much sweetness. The taste is mostly tart lemon, with the gin appearing as a secondary note rather than the honey from the aroma. The gin is quite basic, unfortunately carrying a slight hint of cleaning supplies behind some earthy juniper, but after a few more sips, the honey does emerge, helping to counteract the intense acidity of the lemon. Pre-mixed drinks are still striving for palatability, but with most options not featuring gin, this quickly becomes one of the better choices. This specific one is very close to a classic bee's knees, though it lacks the quality of a good gin and fresh honey. That being said, if you're seeking a pre-mixed drink that won't make you recoil (though it might make you pucker), this is a good option.
