Thick salted caramel custard with vanilla nougat and a touch of spice from cinnamon. It's exceptionally smooth and possesses a powerful character. The proof is well-integrated. This is unquestionably the finest whiskey originating from Missouri, and it competes admirably with other top contenders in this price bracket (around $60).

About this bottle
J. Rieger & Son, based in Kansas City, Missouri, introduced its inaugural bottled in bond straight bourbon in the fall of 2021. This bourbon, originating from a mash bill comprising 56% corn, 30% rye, and 14% malted barley, was produced in a copper pot still during the fall of 2015. It underwent maturation for six years in standard 53-gallon charred American white oak barrels at the distillery's site. The bottling occurred in the fall of 2021, and the release took place on June 2, 2022, available at select retailers in Missouri and Kansas.
