Notes of freshly ripe red plums, vanilla buttercream, white nectarine, cherry reminiscent of kijafa wine, grape pomace, damp hay, raw almonds, sweet Southern tea, fresh coconut, and subtle oak. The palate is well-balanced, with prominent orchard fruit and vanilla. Based on my limited experience, it's the finest cognac encountered at this price point. The gentle tannins make distinguishing between VS and VSOP difficult. Pairs excellently with bavette steak au poivre with tarragon.
