Republic Restoratives Distillery Purpose Rye Single Barrel

From Republic Restoratives in Washington, DC, this rye has a mash bill of 95% Rye and 5% Malted Barley, aged for 5 years, and was distilled in Kentucky (BBC? New Riff?). These first batch barrels were aged in both Washington, DC and Kentucky. On the nose, a floral note is present before a sweet maple emerges. The floral notes persist at the top of the palate, then give way to a gentle rye and a sweeter, medium-length finish.
