Rolando Earley 2.5

113.2 Proof 56.6%ABV Barrell #934 John’s Beverage Edition #1 2023 Aroma - A blend of corn and berries with a Red Hots spice. Significant bready notes are present, along with a hint of black licorice. Nothing particularly exciting. Taste - A pleasing combination of heat and spice (cinnamon, rye spice) balanced by sweetness (caramel corn, a touch of vanilla). Overall - I regret not being able to offer a more detailed assessment, as this whiskey lacks depth. While the balance is good, the mouthfeel is thin, and the finish is at best medium, with a noticeable alcohol presence. At $60, the price is too high for the experience. Considering the many robust whiskeys available in this price range, it struggles to compete. It drinks more like a $40-$45 bottle.

Santos Neil 3.8

An ABC Store single barrel pick at 113.2 proof. The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% barley. It's spicy with a high rye content and some burn, but it's sweet and smooths out after a few minutes. Good lingering finish.

Willa Lantz 3.5

Excellent, a superior pour. Selected: 2023 Proof: 109.1 Barrel No.: 1105 60% Corn, 36% Rye, 4% Barley

Cameron Metzger 3.8

Spicy and hot initially, but it mellows with time and lingers. Excellent flavors on the back palate.

Marva Sheffield 3.3

The aroma is great, but the taste is just okay. I won't purchase it again.
