Reid's Spiced Gin

What flavor combinations transport you to a specific moment or location? I recall drinking a lot of street chai in India. When I taste those familiar spice notes, I'm taken back to Rajasthan, holding a small clay cup of tea. This Spiced Gin evokes that memory for me. The aroma is wonderful, truly smelling like chai tea with strong cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and peppercorn. It's hard to believe it's gin. The sips are smooth, full-bodied, and present a dual sensation of initial black peppercorn heat with mild ginger sweetness, adding to a chorus of chai spices from the nose. Due to its spice-forward profile, there's a hint of bitterness in the moderately lingering finish. This gin is quite fascinating. Reid's Spiced Gin might appeal to those who aren't keen on juniper and prefer chai masala. My first thought is it would shine in a cocktail, perhaps even one inspired by tea! It gets bonus points for both originality and its presentation. 8/10.
