About this bottle
Redemption's "Ancients" collection, launched in November 2017, includes this bourbon alongside their 18 Year Straight Rye. The bourbon was produced at the former Old Seagram's Distillery, now MGP, in Indiana. It is presented at cask strength with an alcohol content of 97.6 proof. Four barrels filled in 1978 yielded 18 bottles, with 94% lost to the "angel's share" due to evaporation. Each bottle is hand-painted, adorned with leather cording, and features a penny from 1978, the distillation year, set into the wooden stopper. Distribution is highly restricted to select U.S. markets.
