Bottle 58 of 600, made in Oct 1997. Aged completely in a new sherry cask for 17+ years, bottled at 58.5% cask strength. Palate: Dense, slick, and coating the mouth. Substantial and peppery with hints of rum characteristics. Notes of toasted almonds, burnt sugar candies, anise, citrus zest, aged wood, Oloroso sherry, hide, and bittersweet cocoa. End: Exceptionally extended with a deep peppery warmth. Lovely dense fruitiness. The top of its kind I've sampled. (acknowledging previous reviews as inspiration for mine)

Incredibly rich, with hints of raisins, bananas, ginger, dark chocolate, prunes, figs, sticky toffee pudding, peaches, apricots, hazelnuts, orange zest, butterscotch, passion fruit, sultanas, and mango.
Pleasant Redbreast. Smooth with a persistent taste. Every drink was enjoyable!
