This bourbon astonished me with its originality. On the nose, it was oaky, musty, and had a deep wine or port undertone. On the palate, it was soft and fluffy, filling the mouth. Some nearby individuals detected snickerdoodle flavors, but I tasted a port-like berry note beneath the caramel and oakiness. It lingers slightly after consumption but not as long as some. At 113 proof, it can handle a few drops of water, which opens up the nose to reveal cocktail cherries. As a scotch drinker, this has made me open to exploring more bourbons again.
