Aroma: Quite mild. A hint of savoriness gives way to a pleasant creamy sweetness underpinned by notes of grain, subtle orange peel, and vanilla. Gentle oak resides in this base layer. While pleasant aromas are present, the overall impression is dull and too delicate. Palate: A sweetness that highlights the corn's character, bordering on kettle corn (though less salty), accompanied by spices. It doesn't burn excessively but is quite light. Faint licorice mingled with vanilla. Finish: The licorice and vanilla intensify. Lingering traces of spice and corn sweetness remain. - Summary - This isn't offensive, but it's not particularly good either. It's not something I'd choose to drink straight, and it's too light for effective mixing. I prefer sipping this to a particular expression, but that expression is bolder and might serve better as a mixer. However, my rating is based on sipping quality alone, excluding categories clearly intended for mixing. It vaguely reminds me of a certain bottling, but with less bitterness. I considered a higher rating, but I don't find it substantially better than that bottling. It is a bit superior though, as it should be given the higher cost. I'm settling on this rating. I'm giving it a 10.

It is distilled in the southern region, matured for a minimum of 4 to 8 years in American oak casks, and bottled in the western United States at a 40% ABV. Its aromatic introduction features notes of wood, spices, and grain; while its rich development introduces flavors of sweet corn, caramel, oak, and vanilla, culminating in a well-rounded, medium-length finish.
