Ratu Signature Rum Liqueur

Appearance: Transparent dark amber. Clear, with no visible particles. Aroma: Orange, vanilla, coconut. Flavor and Texture: Orange curacao, vanilla, coconut syrup, milk chocolate, milk coffee. A thick, smooth liquid with a slight ethanol burn on the sides of the mouth. Very sweet and persistent. This is an acceptable liqueur but has two drawbacks. Firstly, the flavors taste one-dimensional and artificial – I suspect they used synthetic flavorings instead of natural ingredients. Secondly, these flavors overwhelm the palate, and there's practically no rum character noticeable. I'd guess that if you took half a glass of any cheap dark rum and added a shot each of the cheapest orange curacao, coconut syrup, vanilla syrup, cacao syrup, and simple syrup, you'd get 99% of the way to replicating this. It's passable (in small amounts) but not particularly remarkable. For the price, I definitely wouldn't buy it again, but if you have a sweet tooth and like the sound of the flavor profile, you might enjoy it. "Adequate": 70/100 (2 stars)

A one-of-a-kind offering. You'll find chocolate, coconut, and coffee notes. It's too sweet for my taste, as it's a liqueur. Adding ice or milk helps. Imagine Baileys, but significantly improved. Delicious over ice cream!

I really enjoy this, though my background is not extensive. It presents more like a whiskey than a rum; typically, rum makes me ill, but this is the best spirit I've tried yet.

Wonderful, rich chocolate flavor that's super smooth. I could easily enjoy several of these while relaxing on a beach.
