Pleasant nose, light. Freshly sliced apples, sweet cherries, and burnt sugar with a touch of wood. The palate mirrors this, drinking easily for a 115.84 proof. Apple butter comes through, sweet and fruity. There's a subtle note of raw pie crust and cinnamon. The finish is somewhat disappointing, being very brief. Overall, I enjoy this as a sipper and believe it would serve as a fine introduction to barrel-proof spirits for those accustomed to 80-100 proof whiskies.
