Enjoyable whiskey with some spice, and more sweet grain and oatmeal notes, finishing with a bit of vanilla oak. The flavor seemed muddled. It's good, but perhaps not for that cost.

Sweet and sharp, much like a good partner. However, there's an unusual dried fruit taste, possibly cherries, which leaves a less-than-satisfactory aftertaste.
The aroma is of chocolate, cherry, blackberry, and corn. The taste is like chocolate, berries, wine, and decidedly alcoholic.
Grappa and grains on the nose. Soft. Ricola cough drops, dates, nougat, charred grains. Moderate finish.
Winey. Lots of barrel influence. Some sweetness, fruitiness, little grain or burn.
Henry DuYore: A strong start with a pleasant finish. A very good Rye.
