Ragtime Rye Single Barrel New York Straight Rye Whiskey

Nose: cherries, cream, leather, licorice Palate: fiery spice, vanilla, newly cut grass, hints of tobacco Finish: a pleasant warmth that subsides into dark fruit An excellent rye that drinks lighter than its stated proof.

I've discovered something: whenever I eat this spicy popcorn and take a sip of this rye, the spiciness is amplified! I had no idea rye could do that!

Flaviar single barrel selection Nose: Cinnamon, sugar Palate: Mint, rye spice, gingerbread Finish: Long, more brown sugar A robust and enjoyable rye.

I had the opportunity to taste the Seelbach's release, barrel #417. It was exceptionally good and offered great value at $55.
