This divine nectar is perfect for unwinding after work (or before, no judgment). Enjoy it neat or on the rocks, but definitely drink it. This surpasses Maker's Mark, and the distillery is a hidden treasure. Support them enthusiastically and try the first Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced in Illinois in nearly half a century.

About this bottle
Quincy Street Distillery's Laughton Bros. is an Illinois straight bourbon whiskey. Its mash bill is 83% corn, with barley and rye malt making up the remainder. The whiskey undergoes a double distillation in copper pot stills and is then aged for 2 years in new charred oak barrels.

I was very excited for the Illinois distilleries to FINALLY release some straight whiskeys. Very proud of Quincy Street for leading the way with this amazing expression. They're clearly aiming for a more traditional, austere bourbon to contrast everyone else's, and their own, young, barrel-forward whiskeys (which I also like).
This is genuinely the bourbon that got me hooked on QSD products. Its conventional pot-still making method is on par with Maker's Mark, yet I find this bourbon considerably superior to Maker's Mark. I typically sip this straight or with a single ice cube.
