Provenance Auchroisk 11 years old

Distilled in June 2007 and bottled in March 2019, this is one of 405 bottles from the single-refill hogshead REF-DL13163. It is unchillfiltered and contains no added coloring. The nose presents prominent vanilla with ripe fruits in the background. The taste is slightly tart, with sun-dried fruits and custard cream.

A complex whisky that addresses most aspects well but still lacks something to unify it. It has numerous spices, the correct level of sweetness, a touch of peat, and plenty of green apple with a hint of red apple, but it's not entirely fulfilling.
