About this bottle
Created through a partnership between Flor Prendergast and Steven Grasse, founder of Tamworth Distilling in New Hampshire, Prizefight Irish Whiskey originated. The spirit was distilled and aged in West Cork, comprising a mix of 10-year-old malt and 4-year-old grain whiskey. It underwent an additional six-month maturation in American rye casks obtained from Tamworth. The label for this Irish-American collaboration showcases John Morrissey and Yankee Sullivan. Their notable fight occurred on October 12, 1853, in Boston Corners, New York (then Massachusetts), lasting 37 rounds, with Morrissey declared the victor despite Sullivan having knocked him out.
