This is among the finest smelling rums I've encountered. Nose: it evokes sweet chrysanthemum tea, baked apples with brown sugar, and a syrup like that for breakfast or brown sugar syrup. Initially, it also had a floral, musky, cologne-like aroma. It simply smells divine. Taste: My initial taste is remarkably floral. The first sip presented only rose water for a few seconds, then oak. The second sip and subsequent ones revealed brown sugar syrup followed by black tea and sugar. After that initial sip, the rose water became less prominent. A long sip brought forth a pancake-like character with butter and syrup, complete with the full flavors one would associate with warm, rich, pan-cooked, buttery pancakes. Absolutely superb
