Port Ellen 23 Year Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)

I acquired this at an auction, and it's delightful. The nose and flavor profile are creamy and fragrant, with floral notes, vanilla, citrus, dried fruit, and a delicate sweet smoke, complemented by salty bacon on the palate. No single flavor dominates; it's perfectly balanced.

A divine beverage. It evokes memories of older Caol Ila. Fruity and somewhat musty. Vanilla citrus, peach, apricot, and an exceptional balance. Beyond the cost, there's little to critique. But it's acceptable.
