About this bottle
Diageo revealed the first collection of vintage single malt whiskies in its limited edition Prima & Ultima series in July 2020, including Port Ellen and seven additional distilleries. Dr. Jim Beveridge selected all bottlings, which were presented at their natural cask strength. The 1979 vintage release was aged for 40 years in a single refill European oak butt, cask #6422. It is bottled at 51.2% ABV.
