About this bottle
Bruichladdich's Port Charlotte portfolio includes this heavily-peated (40 ppm) expression, released in February 2025. The spirit spent 18 years maturing, having been distilled in 2005 from 100% Scottish barley. Maturation involved a mix of first-fill bourbon and second-fill sherry casks. An additional portion underwent a unique aging process: 11 years in sherry casks, followed by 5 years in virgin French oak, and finally in second-fill bourbon casks. Production for this 2025 release was capped at 8,000 bottles.
