The aroma is sweet, with subtle vanilla, oak, and coffee notes. The alcohol scent dissipates fairly quickly. The initial taste is sweet, with hints of cherry, followed by a wood bitterness that lingers but isn't unpleasant. This is smoother than I anticipated for a three-year-old brown liquor. This is decent...much better than I would have expected from a moonshine source. It was a gift from my wife, so I'm unaware of the cost. I likely would have overlooked it given its origin. I'm pleased she purchased it because this is quite good. I also have an open bottle of Angel's Envy, but I find myself reaching for this one more often. I'm eager for them to start producing a Tennessee whiskey. I anticipate good things from that distillery.
