Fantastic on its own. Notes of coconut, grilled tropical produce like papaya and pineapple, honey, vanilla, a touch of molasses, and cognac.

About this bottle
Planteray Australia 2007 is a vintage rum part of the Birds of Paradise limited edition range, with packaging depicting the white cockatoo. It was produced using pot stills at Australia's oldest distillery, Beenleigh Artisan Distillery. The initial 12 days of fermentation utilized a distinct yeast, followed by three days with a different strain. The rum matured for 13 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then spent an additional year in French oak casks in France. A total of 21 barrels were produced, and the rum was bottled at 49.3% ABV in November 2021.

Light floral notes. Seemed a bit hot initially, but mellows after 5 minutes with ice. Minimal sweetness. Nice.
