Julianna Marrero 4.5

Aroma - (without water) Floral honey, dark apple juice, golden raisins (with water) Adds a vanilla custard element with a slight lemon zest Taste - (without water) Rich floral honey, dark apple juice, hints of vanilla, pleasant light cinnamon warmth/tingle, dark golden raisins (with water) Adds pleasant citrus notes, more floral character, creamier custard, and a richer mouthfeel Finish - (without water) Lingering warm fruity tingle, pleasant dark apple juice with grape and vanilla caramel undertones (with water) Makes the finish less sweet but more fruity and floral, with brighter fruit and is quite enjoyable Score - 90/100 Final Thoughts - This is a very well-crafted Speyside dram, expertly constructed from beginning to end. Simple flavors executed exceptionally well with no off-putting notes; it's actually much more balanced and nuanced with a small amount of water. It truly opens up with a few drops of water, revealing hidden citrus and cream. This is quite delicious and powerfully showcases the distillery's potential when aged for 28 years. Would I drink it if offered? - Yes Would I specifically order it? - Yes Would I buy a bottle? - Yes, if I could find one around $200 USD
