I get the rye on the nose and a little bit in the finish, but surprisingly not a whole lot on the palate. Not what I was expecting, especially since it's so young, but maybe that's why. I’m not sure on the mashbill, but maybe it is closer to that 51% rye, not sure. Either way, it is good and drinks very smoothly for the ABV.

The initial impression is intensely sweet and sugary. It reminds me of agave syrup or a green apple Jolly Rancher, offering a vibrant profile. I also detect notes of cherry.
I tried the 61% version. I like it more than I anticipated. Pleasant oily mouthfeel, fruity, and herbaceous.
Nose: notes of almond, honey, earth, and spice Palate: a honeyed sweetness with mild spice and moderate warmth
Rye bread with a minty aroma, notes of pepper and vitamins. Lingers moderately.
It's well-rounded and complex. Hints of spice and sweetness are present.
