A bit of heat, a bit of char, a bit of sweet corn. This non-age statement whisky is local to me, which provided the nudge I needed to buy a bottle. It's a bit fiery at 100 proof, but honestly, I think it helps develop the flavor in this young whisky. It's not amazing, but it's shockingly good for non-aged pseudo-bourbon, and I'm eager to try more of their products as the distillery continues to grow and evolve.

A quick wave of heat is followed by a biscuit flavor. This one falls somewhere between not great and not terrible. I purchased my first bottle today, and it will be my last.
The aroma has notes of honey and sweet corn. It transitions from sweet to spicy, and the char comes through at the end. The finish is spicy and fades quickly.
Fantastic dry maple flavor, from the wood! Definitely warrants all of its awards.
Very warming.
