From friends at Beverage King in Norwalk, CT, here's another store pick. I was seeking a rye with added sweetness alongside its natural spice. The nose is light, featuring sweet oak with a hint of wine right at the end. This is another outstanding barrel selection, tasting much lighter than its 107 proof. What more could I want? Sweetness from the Tokaji wine, warm spice from the rye, and oak flavor that balances both. Six years is a good age for this; it goes down easily. A very good barrel.
