Color: copper-brown Nose: cherries, hint of cocoa Neat: light on the palate; slightly spicy; easy finish On the rocks: aroma of grains; not the usual caramel or vanilla; hint of chocolate; palate is spiced and herbal, but not sharply spicy, more like a rum spice; a quick, easy finish. A great drink for occasional sipping as the flavors are unusual; I prefer it on the rocks.

HyVee LS West 2023 Holiday Pick, 114 Proof The nose is very oaked with significant toasted white bread. The palate is pleasant, featuring light fall spice, mild oak, followed by pepper. It's not overly sweet. The finish offers a hint of cocoa, and pepper remains present. A very nice drink for someone transitioning to higher proof whiskeys.
This toasted barrel strength bottle has a good proof. I detected notes of honey and vanilla with a smoky finish. While not my top choice from this brand, it was less sweet and fruity than my other selections. I did enjoy this bourbon. Second tasting: Excellent flavor for a toasted expression. A distinct flavor choice.
An excellent bottle with a caramel flavor leading to a pleasant oaky finish, hinting at toasted marshmallow.
Nose: Strong Chocolate and Spice. Palate: Toasty, Caramel, and Cinnamon with a lingering finish.
Pleasant and spiced, I didn't detect much in the way of toasted notes.
