More honey. On the finish? You guessed it – honey again, accompanied by warm wood spice. If a cartoon bear known for loving honey were a distiller, this is what he would produce. This bourbon, sourced from MGP, underwent two barrel finishes: first in American Honey barrels, then a brief period with Amburana Oak, which contributes notes of cinnamon, baking spice, and a magical quality. Although it has no age statement, it is thought to be between 4–6 years old. It drinks as if it has some experience. Regarding its acquisition: a friend provided two bottles. One was a gift, and the other was purchased for around $60. A reasonable price for a bourbon that creates a delightful aroma of dessert and woodsy notes.
