Similar to the standard Penelope Bourbon, this expression is crafted from a combination of three mash bills using four distinct grains: corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. It matures for 3.5 to 5 years in new American oak barrels, featuring char #2 heads and char #4 staves. Bottled at barrel strength and without chill filtration, each batch presents a unique proof and flavor profile, as is characteristic of such releases.

A very light sipper, bringing to mind candied caramel and toast, with a hint of almond and butter. It has a beautiful flavor at this 115.6 proof. I enjoyed it greatly, though it falls short of Elijah Craig BP or Larceny BP.
The nose offers chocolate and tobacco. The palate is hot and peppery, layered over chocolate syrup. The finish is quite hot, delivering a pleasant warmth in the chest. It's good, but somewhat one-dimensional.
Plenty of alcohol burn, but the taste is solid. Some fruit and cherry notes emerge toward the finish.
Cherry and sweet with barrel spice and a long finish. A really good bottle. Batch #9.
Certainly unique, with a spicy character similar to rye. Not excessively sweet. Some floral undertones are present.
Graham crackers, cinnamon, and chocolate. Fantastic.
