Rich notes of butterscotch and pastry spices greet you. A velvety texture on the palate. Surprisingly smooth for its strength. A pleasant and easy-drinking bourbon. Nicely executed.

About this bottle
This Penelope Bourbon is created from a mix of three mash bill recipes, incorporating corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. It undergoes aging for 3.5 to 5 years in new American oak barrels featuring char #2 heads and char #4 staves. Bottling occurs at barrel strength without chill filtration, and each batch presents a unique proof and taste profile.

Not bad, but the youth is apparent; I suspect it will improve with age. I didn't care for the first half of the bottle, but the second half isn't unpleasant.
Buttery, with caramel and sweetness, and a pleasant burn from the alcohol content. I was genuinely surprised and it's a fantastic pour, even for a young bourbon. Nicely done.
Gratitude to Ryan! Caramel aroma, flavor is sweet with vanilla, caramel, and rock candy. Surprisingly sweet given the alcohol content. Enjoyable.
A solid barrel-proof bourbon. A bit expensive. Pleasant finish.
I really enjoy this. The increased proof gives it a nice punch.
