I was a little concerned after the initial taste, but like some others I've tried, it improved significantly by the second sip. The spicy character at the beginning is appealing; I suspect it contains rye. I deliberately avoided checking details beforehand to maintain an unbiased perspective. It's a very dependable spirit that I would purchase again. As usual, I enjoyed it straight up.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, bread. Palate: Rich, baking spices, sweet. Finish: Medium. Overall, it's a very solid bourbon for the cost, nothing exceptional. Rated 7/10.
HEAT. AMAZING. This is a great pour. It has a wonderful nose, with an oaky scent and some vanilla. The palate offers pepper spice with caramel. I would purchase this again.
I really like this Penelope four grain. It's very smooth with a touch of sweetness. It doesn't taste like the 112 proof it is. Incredibly smooth!
This might be the bottle I like best. It's remarkably smooth given the alcohol content. Delightful sweetness with a lingering end.
Despite the alcohol level, it's very easy to drink. It presents a very clear, classic bourbon character.
