The fourth bottling in the Penelope Architect line, this bourbon uses a 4-grain recipe. It ages for four to five years and receives a finishing touch from French oak staves sourced from Tonnelleries Radoux. The spirit is presented at 104 proof.

Simply put, this is Maker's Mark 46, but improved. It's creamy, sweet, oaky, and wonderful. The nose gives off a scent reminiscent of... almost slightly beef jerky-like qualities before the oak takes over. Quite intriguing, and I'm very fond of it. If you appreciate oak in your bourbon, do yourself a favor and get this immediately. It's excellent.
Nose: Sweet, vanilla bean Palate: Very oaky, but in a good way, balanced Finish: Warm Overall: A great pour, with a very unique flavor profile that is very oaky and sweet but not off-putting.
This was a solid, well-balanced pour. Assuming the most recent iteration at 104 Proof. Good vanilla notes mingled with cherry, walnut, vanilla, and a floral spice.
Tastes immature with some rubbery cinnamon. I had higher expectations for this, my initial Penelope bottle. I should have selected the barrel proof four grain or toasted.
An absolute explosion of flavor. Sweet on the palate with notes of cherry that provide a pleasant surprise, it has a smooth finish and a nice lingering taste. A fantastic pour.
This improved with each tasting. At first, I was indifferent, but in blind tastings, it was a pleasant surprise. Excellent MGP spirit.
