Jordan Madsen 4.0

Aroma: Vibrant berry and oak notes leap from the glass. I'm a fan. The vanilla is also wonderfully present. As it breathes, caramel becomes more prominent. It's consistently sweet throughout, with no hint of alcohol. Rye is also absent, leaving me uncertain of the mash bill, and I'm too unmotivated to research it (a friend provided the sample). Taste: An overwhelming wave of sweet caramel and oak, present at every level of the palate. The oak becomes slightly drying on the finish. The familiar vanilla note is there, but more at the forefront. Overall: The French oak is the dominant characteristic. However, the texture is incredibly rich, thoroughly coating the palate.
