An intense Single Malt Whiskey from Penderyn Distillery in Wales, United Kingdom, finished in Grand Cru Sherry wood, made using a pot still created by Dr. David Faraday and bottled at 92 Proof. It starts with aromas of wood, grain, fruit & spice; a bold & velvety character adds notes of vanilla; oak tannins, red berries, blackcurrants, hazelnuts, pears, sultanas, marzipan, caramel, figs, delicate frangipane, chocolate ganache & a hint of coffee; leading to a long & dry conclusion with more oak tannins. About this bottle
Rhiannon represents the seventh installment in Penderyn's Icons of Wales Series. Rich, complex, sweet with some spice. Delivers a punch of deep fruit. A tasty whisky to savor.
Smells like burning rubber, but the taste is much more appealing than the smell.
Warm, sweet, with soft raspberry notes and a slightly hot finish.
A personal favorite.
