According to the folks at Oregon Spirit, this whiskey is a limited edition made just for Total Wine. It cost me $44.99. I couldn't find any information about the mash bill, but as it's a rye whisky, it must contain at least 51% rye, and it definitely has wheat. It's 90 proof, four years old, and has a copper color with a slight golden hue. Nose: The most noticeable note is minty eucalyptus, which I've come to associate with wheat. I also detect dark honey, a fresh scent I can't quite describe, and a hint of what might be smoke. Feel: Creamy. Taste: Honey, butter, eucalyptus (the wheat again), a bit of cinnamon, and brown sugar. Finish: The finish is short, with eucalyptus, bitter oak (but it's pleasant), and semi-sweet chocolate. Summary: This is a very interesting whiskey. It doesn't present as either a rye or a wheat whiskey; it's distinct from both. However, it's very good, and I wish it were a permanent offering. Rating: On my hick scale, which has eight levels with 1 at the bottom, this rates a 6, Fine. That equates to 3.75 out of 5 stars, 75/100, or 7.5/10.
